Auction Artist's guide
Welcome to the Auction performance platform
Artist - it is YOU! Auction House - Accompart's!
We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming handcrafted performance auction. Some preparatory tasks are required to facilitate this process, which won't demand a significant amount of your time. Kindly review the customary auction terms. Showcasing your work in the auction will signify your complete agreement with the auction's terms and your future as an artist because your life will never be the same. Don't forget that we are not a traditional Auction House or NFT marketplace; we are an alternative WEB3 performance auction that perfectly implements cutting-edge technology, decentralized curation, social media performance, and a multi-chain ecosystem.
1. How to Choose Your Artwork? 1.1. Concept and Curation: Each auction is designed around an invited curator's specific theme or concept. We will provide you with a concept draft to help you select the most appropriate artwork.
1.2. Creating New Art: If you have the time and inspiration, feel free to create a new piece specifically for the auction.
1.3. Submitting Existing Art: If you already have artwork that fits the auction theme and prefer to use it, simply submit it for the auction.
1.4. NFT Compatibility: Accompart's smart contract accepts NFTs from various platforms and supports Ethereum and Base chains. Initially, mint your artwork on a primary art platform (such as Foundation, Manifold, SuperRare, etc.), then transfer it to our smart contract.
2. Auction preparation: How do we fulfill the artist’s information?;
for auction webpage/catalog and post-production materials
2.1. Artist name - easy.
2.2. Artwork link - easy.
2.3. Artwork title - easy.
2.4. Artwork description - usually short, describing the idea/hidden philosophy or concept. Type of file/program used as a tool for art creation. Year of the creation.
2.5. Artist BIO—short description. It is preferable to include a note about the Artist's date of birth/place of birth, how long the Artist has been in the art industry, whether they are a member of any art community, etc.
2.6. Collectors and exhibitions—Indicating all collectors and exhibitions is unnecessary, but the most significant and influential are useful for auction participants.
2.7. Site/linktree - easy.
2.8. Twitter/Instagram - easy.
We appreciate your time, but the more information we provide, the better for collectors. They should know everything about the artists and artworks. Provenance and collector information will give them more investment confidence.
3. Artist and Auction House tights and guarantees: 3.1. The Artist affirms that the transferred artwork does not infringe upon the rights or claims of third parties. The Artist ensures that the transferred artwork is a unique creation without circulation or duplication, existing in a singular instance. Furthermore, the Artist guarantees that the artwork will continue to lack physical analogs.
3.2. The Artist retains copyright as the creator, even in the event of a sale to a collector. The Artist is entitled to royalties from all subsequent sales of the artwork.
3.3. The Artist ensures that the artwork is stored in a decentralized repository timelessly.
3.4. The Artist grants consent for written or video interviews, which Auction be produced and shared on the auction house's social media platforms before/during/after the commencement of the auction.
3.5. The Artist approves participating in activities organized by the Accompart's as part of promotional events and announcements preceding the auction.
3.6. The Artist agrees to participate in a pre-auction exhibition hosted within a specially designed virtual exhibition space created by the Auction House.
3.7. The Artist permits the public to see their work in Accompart's pre-auction catalog, allowing for further catalog sales without accruing royalties, all in the interest of promoting the Artist. This includes featuring information about the Artist's work within the annual book catalog.
3.8. The Auction House guarantees the Artist's proper attribution and precise artwork title in any references made across social media and in both digital and physical publications.
4. Auction conditions: 4.1. Auction House has developed an ingenious smart contract designed to enable artists to auction their works while establishing a transparent record of authorship and sales history. This ensures that acquired artworks from auctions consistently maintain their provenance, complete with copyright and subsequent transactions crystal-clearly.
4.2. For the initial mint phase on the minting platform (Foundation, Manifold, SuperRare, Objkt, etc.), we strongly advise you to consider incorporating royalties. We recommend setting not more than 3-5%, which can significantly enhance your work in the long run. While we don't encourage the use of larger-sized grand pianos, we leave this choice entirely in the hands of the artist.
4.3. Auction's smart contract accepts NFTs from various platforms and supports Ethereum and Base chains. We also use third-party smart contracts on Tezos. Initially, mint your artwork on a primary art platform (such as Foundation, Manifold, SuperRare, Objkt, etc.), then transfer it to our smart contract. 4.4. If the artwork is not sold, it is automatically returned to your wallet and platform. 4.5. According to the auction results, the Auction House charges a commission. See paragraph 5 below.
5. Auction House commission.
Our Auction is not like the traditional auction house's auction. We are creators of the performance auction, decentralized curation, and the ability to knock on the collector's door. The auction commission is coded into the smart contract and is 30% (20% is the auction commission + 10% is the curator commission) of the final artwork price.
Why do we charge a 30% commission? ▲ we are not the NFT platform that doesn't have a strategy to promote every artist ▲ we provide individual curation and prepare, related to the curation concept, the social media performance before/during/closing ▲ our team works on an auction catalog, which we mint for free for collectors ▲ we organize the public spaces before, during, and after the auction ▲ we design the gallery space for auction integration, and this space is always unique ▲ we are a handmade, craft performance platform that carefully performs the artists
6. Auction price terms: 6.1 The Auction's starting price is set publicly on the opening day. An artist can recommend the starting price. 6.2. The work is considered sold if:
- at least one bid from the participant has been received and is not less than the starting price. 6.3. If the participant does not receive a price offer, the Auction House may offer to transfer the artwork to the Rare space (auction marketplace) after the Artist's acceptance. 7. Auction timeline: 7.1. The duration of the Auction is 4-6 days. We are still testing the perfect auction timeline. 7.2. The Auction opens and closes automatically. Sending the artwork to the performance auction means the Artist accepted the auction rules. The Artist independently pays taxes on sales, depending on the regulation rules established in his location's territory.
Our curatorial board will provide more information.
It is essential for us to represent Artists whose vision of the future may not be entirely clear to many people, but vision is always a matter of a minority.
Good luck!
